Recipes for free: Healthier Wendy’s Copycat Chocolate Frosty Smoothie

And my obsession with creating new smoothies continues. I’ve been tastespotting Wendy’s Copycat Chocolate Frosty recipes for quite awhile now so it was about time for me to blend up my own version. I developed a healthier take on the classic confection. A smoothie perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dessert.

Healthier Wendy’s Copycat Frosty Smoothie
1+ 3/4 cups vanilla almond milk
1/4 cup gluten free oats
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
9 drops pure liquid stevia
3 medjool dates, finely diced
1 extra large banana, frozen and diced into 6 pieces
1/2 large banana, frozen and diced into 6 pieces
1 cup crushed ice
Cover dates with water and soak overnight. Add all ingredients into a blender in order listed and process until smooth.
Transfer to a serving glass, serve immediately.
