So glad the sun decided to come back today and stay awhile. After a cold, dark, and rainy Thursday I was elated to awaken to blue and sunny skies. The cold front brought the brisk wind, but here in Nashville it barely seems like December. I haven’t made it through to other side of this flare up, so my appetite didn’t break through until much later. One because I wasn’t hungry and two because I had lunch plans with a friend so I didn’t want to ruin my appetite. A half of a grapefruit and piece of chocolate chip cookie was my breakfast/mid morning snack.
A new hibachi buffet opened up and I wanted to give it a try. I’m not a fan of a buffet but sometimes you want a little variety, a little taste of every thing but a whole lot of nothing! It was nice, the food was fresh and the selection of crisp, steamed veggies was great. These places usually work out well for my dietary restrictions and the wide selection and quality made this one worth the price of admission. I forgot to take pictures, it’s so rare for me to get out for lunch that I was lost in the company. Rice noodles, crisp green beans, tossed potatoes, few pieces of veggie sushi. You know a little of this a little of that. The company was nice and the late lunch was worth it. I have some baking on the agenda for my Saturday, banana bread for a client and banana cake for test baking.
