It’s unofficially officially summer so you know what that means? Strawberries! What screams summer more than fresh organic strawberries from the farmer’s market. I have made my not so triumphal return back to Upstate New York. The weather is marvelous and the strawberry crop is ripe for the picking. I am debuting several new features this week the first being my Weekend Roundup. Each Monday throughout the summer I will showcase a particular summer fruit and an accompanying recipe that I made over the weekend. Summers are busy but I am holding myself to this feature and cannot wait to think up and bake up all sorts of sweet and savory confections using delicious summer fruits.
Strawberries are first up on the list for this past weekend. As you can see I made a lovely Strawberry Banana Chai Smoothie, Strawberry Corn Muffins and a wonderful dairy free Strawberry Frozen Yogurt. My weekend and week was busy with me moving and trying to settle back in my new home. New York may now be home, but my heart will forever remain in Nashville. How could it not? the gluten free chef was born in Nashville. But I digress.
