Have I told you that I love mason jars? No seriously I LOVE to drink out of a mason jar. I don’t know if it is my southern roots (my dad was born and raised in Selma, AL) but anything drank out of a mason jar tastes better in my book. During our Grand Opening weekend I was gifted an awesome plastic mason jar mug from a friend and I was simply over the moon. This gift is the perfect addition to my mason collection and the perfect vessel for this Banana Chai Spice Smoothie which is my smoothie of the moment. I shared this smoothie recipe earlier this year and it is even better now than it was when I adapted it. Banana Chai Spice Smoothie adapted from The Sweetest Kitchen’s Banana Chai Smoothie
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
3 tablespoons gluten free rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon chai spice mix
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
1 medium banana, frozen sliced into 6 pieces
- Add all ingredients into a blender in the order listed and process until smooth
- Transfer to a serving glass with ice. Serve immediately.
