Cooking & Eating Healthy with Phil | Restaurant Review

Since founding this website nearly four years ago, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some truly A+mazing and wonderful people. I’ve also encountered my fair share of “party poopers” but the good folk far outweigh the bad. No person has embodied this sentiment more than Philomina U. Emeka-Iheukwa. Continue reading

The Celiac Mom’s Guide to Holiday Hosting Part II| Thanksgiving

Hosting Thanksgiving. Those two words can create fear and dread in even the most seasoned of cooks. Throw in the fact that the meal has to be gluten free, and well, let’s just hang up the apron now, right? Wrong! I hosted Thanksgiving for 18, all gluten free, and got rave reviews. It. Can. Be. Weekend Roundup| Blackout Dinner Party

What a weekend! I am still in recovery mode as I come off the euphoric high that was this past Saturday’s Blackout networking social dinner. I planned this (black attire themed) social dinner to celebrate the new year and bring my local celiac community together over mimosa’s, positive conversation, and lots of A+mazing gluten free food. The blackout is part of my “Gluten Free Meet & Mingle” series. I could go on and on but I’ll let the photos and the quote below (said by the husband of a very special friend) speak for themselves. It is truly why I do what I do. Oh and post blackout has inspired another e-cookbook idea. #staytuned

I’ll admit that before we came I was skeptical about this gluten free dinner. I must say I am very impressed at how great the food was

P.S: I am shooting myself because I made a “DIY Mimosa Bar” that I failed to take a picture of. Three words for the mimosa bar; A.Maz.Ing.
